but FOLDS hoyl shit folds folds are so awesome man you literally have no idea I like drawing folds som uch I’ll put them in places where they don’t even belong sometimes. Honestly this is far from definitive and is just my understanding of how folds works gleamed from hours upon hours staring at strangers pants on mass transit, so don’t take my word for it, do your own study! Look at your own jeans in the mirror! look at other peoples jeans! google jeans on the internets! Each different fit is going to come with it’s own folds, depending on factors like the cut of the leg and how much fabric there is and how heavy it is and man there are just so many variables and things to think about it’s awesome

I’m currently working on a drawing where I’ve already drawn the jeans so haha I could have used this. Reblogging for future reference though.

Anon asked for some advice about eyes, and I… may have gone a bit overboard, ahahaha. I hope it turned out at least a little worthwhile!

This is a great guide!  I’d like to make one small note though—when drawing the pupil in profile in a realistic style, it should be slightly recessed in the iris.

But sometimes it just works to have the pupil right next to the cornea in a cartoony style, so it’s up to you for whatever you’re going for.

Sharing another tutorial for those interested. :)  (I know this isn’t about the female form, but I get a lot of requests for resources on drawing people in general, so I thought for those who might be interested, I’d share it in case they haven’t seen it reblogged yet. :) )

SUPER EASY SUPER SIMPLE PRETTY LEGIT glitchy image effect. kinda like VHS tearing.

• select a bit of it, all the way across
• shear it kind of like this - play with the curve!

that’s it! you can do it per channel to get cool color tear effects, and once you’re done you can use things like lens blur with a bit of noise and specular highlighting to get a more organic effect. i’ve seen other glitch / screenshot / VHS-effect tutorials and none of them have looked even remotely organic to me, so have this!
